Deutsche Bank partners with the 20th Biennale of Sydney

Deutsche Bank is delighted to be a Distinguished Partner of the 20th Biennale of Sydney continuing a relationship dating back to 2010 when the bank was named its Education Partner.

The Biennale is just one of many cultural activities Deutsche Bank is involved with globally to increase the number of people engaging with contemporary art.

Deutsche Bank’s Co-Head of Corporate Finance and Biennale Board Director, James Roth, said: As Distinguished Partner, we hope to play a role in making contemporary art more accessible to Australians and visitors to Sydney. We are also very proud that artists from the Deutsche Bank Collection – Dayanita Singh and Nilbar Güreş – are represented in this Biennale.”

Roth continued: “As a Board Director, I hope everyone who visits the exhibition enjoys the experience and engages with the theme of this year – “the future is already here – it’s just not evenly distributed.”  Artistic Director Stephanie Rosenthal has done an incredible job in taking the exhibition to new venues across the city and introducing groundbreaking performative projects.

Deutsche Bank’s recent edition of ArtMag features an interview with Rosenthal. Please click here to access the article.

About Deutsche Bank and Contemporary Art in Australia

Deutsche Bank has been supporting contemporary art institutions and exhibitions for over 10 years.

In 2010, Deutsche Bank became the first ever Education Partner of the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia following a long-standing relationship dating back to 2004 when the Bank sponsored the annual Primavera exhibition for young artists.

In April, the MCA will celebrate the fourth anniversary of its National Centre for Creative Learning - one of the most significant commitments to art education in Australia, which has been made possible thanks to Deutsche Bank.
